| Haven't been drawing much lately. Working lots. Haven't really been living much at all. Or at least, it feels that way.
Anyhow. I was going for someone younger this time, just for kicks.

I feel much better about this latest offering. The more I look at my last one, the more I can't stop staring at all the mistakes I made. The shading still doesn't feel right, and I hate his hair. With this last one, I freakin' love his hair, and the shading turned out waaaay batter than I could ever have hoped. I also really love how much emotion I managed to put into his expression. It's not quiiiiiite as much as I was going for, but I'm still thrilled. As kind of an added bonus, his shirt looks great, too.

This was a learning experience. His face is so sculpted and curvy, there're shadows inside the shadows of the shadows. I didn't pull it off quite like I would have liked, but I did learn some stuff, and he doesn't look too bad. Men are hard to draw, damn us -_-.

| Hmm. Seems like this editor is changed every other time I use it. It's starting to look cool, though, so I can't complain. I've been well enough lately. I'm glad of Autumn being here. I'll be sad when the leaves start to change color, but the consistent upper 90 degree days were getting old fast. I've taken in a stray. He's a little brown Datshound (sp?). He was wondering the side of the road. Looks kind of pure-bred, too. Someone probably threw him out when he wasn't a cute puppy anymore. Anyway, I couldn't just leave him. He's such a nice guy! I named him Captain, and then my mother named him Barbarosa. Hence you have Captian Barbarosa. It works. Went to Jacksonville over Labor day. It was good, overall, though a bit depressing at times. That's all the highlights. 'Guess I'll stop now. | | |
